VALDOSTA, Ga. – After months of steady progress and a strong showing at the Gulf South Conference Championships, the Valdosta State cross country teams turn their focus to the 2025 NCAA Division II South Region Championships, set for Saturday, November 8, at Holloway Park in Lakeland, Florida. The women's 6K course begins at 7:40 am E.T. followed by the men's 10K race begins at 8:35 am E.T.
Coming off a strong showing at the Gulf South Conference Championships two weeks ago, The Valdosta State cross country teams wrapped up their season at the NCAA South Region Championships in Lakeland, Fla., highlighted by a host of new personal records on both sides. The Blazers will look to take this momentum into the NCAA South Region Championship.
The NCAA South Region will bring together programs from across the Gulf South, Sunshine State, and Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conferences — including perennial contenders like Lee, Tampa, and Alabama-Huntsville. With automatic bids to the NCAA Championships on the line, the stakes will be at their highest.
