VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Valdosta State men's and women's tennis teams will close the fall portion of the schedule with the Gulf South Conference Fall Invitational, scheduled for Oct. 31-Nov. 2, in Mobile, Ala.  
 
On the men's side in singles, in Flight 1, sophomore Phillipp Bosse will face West Florida's Mark Neyelov on Friday at 3:30 p.m. ET in the Round of 16.  Blazer freshman Jan Thissen faced Mateo Martinez of West Florida in Flight 2 at 3:30 p.m. ET on Friday and freshman Emile Le Delporte battles Auburn Montgomery's Lucas Rosvall on Friday at 5:15 p.m. ET in Flight 3.  
 
In doubles, Thissen/Delporte battle West Florida duo of Sebastian Rondon and Diego Duran on Friday at 1 p.m. in the Round of 16 in Flight 1.
 
At the regional, Bosse reached the Round of 16 before falling to West Alabama's Matias Iturbe, 6-3, 6-4. Delporte and Thissen are looking for a better result this weekend as they lost both of their doubles matches in the regional.  
 
On the women's side, Blazer senior Lena Beckx opens Flight 1 facing Mississippi College's Emily Buchanan at 3:30 p.m. on Friday in the Round of 16.  
 
Flight 2 features senior Carmelle Vial facing West Florida's Sophie Smith, while sophomore Ivana Castillo facing Auburn Montgomery's Mercedes Garcia Cid and Milica Prokic faces Montevallo's Johanna Kullmann as all of Flight 2's matches are scheduled for a 5:15 p.m. ET start.  In Flight 3, Blazer junior Charleigh Fay squares off with West Florida's Laila Kamil and junior Ena Arnautovic battles West Alabama's Ximena Ku with both of those matches also at 5:15 p.m. ET.  
 
In doubles, Vial/Prokic face off with Buchanan and Ann Cabot Stockett of Mississippi College in Flight 1, while Beckx/Castillo battle UWA tandem of Valentina Mutilba and Alexa Milliam.  Flight 2 features Fay/Arnautovic facing off with UWF duo of Laila Kamil and Sophie Smith with all of the doubles matches at 1 p.m. ET Friday.
 
At the South Regional, Beckx/Prokic reached the Round of 16 in doubles, while Beckx reached the Round of 16 in singles to lead the team last month.
