VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Valdosta State cross country team will take to the trails in Clinton, Miss., as the team will run on the Choctaw Trails hosted by Mississippi College for the GSC XC Championship on Saturday, Oct. 26. The men will run in the 8k at 9:30 a.m. ET followed by the women in the 6k at 10:15 a.m. ET.
Due to lack of internet on the course, the championship will not be livestreamed. However, the conference will provide video of the finish line for each race and the awards ceremony. Links are available

For the men, the Blazers will be up against nationally ranked Lee (No. 9) and Alabama Huntsville (No. 13), who have combined for 12 of the last 13 GSC Championships. Lee has won eight straight, as the Flames are looking to make it nine in a row. The Flames have been just as dominant for the women, as the 13
th ranked team in the country has won seven straight GSC Championships.
For VSU men's squad, they have been anchored by true freshman
Nick Waddell, who has been the top finisher for the red and black in the last two races. On the women's side, the senior duo of
Caitlyn Koske and
Katie LaCroix continue to take charge, as they look build off a strong showing at the UAH Invitational. Koske and LaCroix placed 102
nd and 108
th, respectively.
