PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Valdosta State women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision at No. 15 West Florida Friday evening.
The Blazers fell to 3-5-1 on the year and 0-3-1 in Gulf South Conference play, while UWF improved to 7-1-2 overall and 5-0-1 in league play. UWF scored two goals in the first half and one in the opening minutes of the second half for the victory.

Claire Timberlake, had nine saves in the match, tying her career-high set on Sunday against West Alabama in a 0-0 tie. Junior
Hunter Wallace had one shot for the Blazers on target, while UWF had 16 shots for the match and 12 on frame.
UWF saw three goals by three different players with the first coming at the 21:52 mark by Bela Labovic, while Elexia Nelson scored at the 30:07 mark with an assist from Ahnalie Layman and Labovic. At the 49:30 mark, Jillian Thompson scored with an assist by Layman.
The Blazers continue on the road this weekend as they travel to Mobile, Ala., to face Spring Hill College at 2 p.m. ET.
