Caitlin Warnshuis was able to make it 22-12, putting the Blazers in the driver's seat, but the Bulldogs proceeded to go on a 6-0 run to cut it to a four-point game. The Blazers thwarted any comeback, as it was able to secure the final three points, capped off by a Reyes Perez ace.

The Blazers were playing consistent as they matched every Union point with two of its own for a short while to give it a 17-11 lead late. Union went on to score four of the next five points to make it a close set at 18-16, but the Blazers rolled from there. Â

An attack error put the Bulldogs up at the start of the set, but
Kennedy DeLuca was able to tie it up with a kill. Warnshuis was able to break up the run and start one for the Blazers as it scored four of the next five points to put the pressure on and force a Bulldog timeout. Only down by three now, the Blazers looked to claw back to try and take control. However, the Bulldogs rolled after its timeout as it went on a 5-0 run and closed out the set, outscoring the Blazers 10-2, to take its first set of the match.
