VALDOSTA, Ga. – The No. 19 Valdosta State men's tennis team posted a 4-0 victory Friday afternoon over visiting Georgia College at the VSU Tennis Complex.
The Blazers improved to 1-1 on the year with the win, while GC fell to 1-1. The Blazers earned the doubles point as sophomore

Adam Kalivoda won easily at No. 3 doubles, 6-0. Freshmen
Luca Mack and
Edward Etty won 6-1 at No. 2 doubles to earn the team point.

Yohan Nguyen made quick work of Matt Rogel at the top spot in the lineup, 6-1, 6-0, and junior
Florian Simbozel downed Lukas Zavrel 6-1, 6-0 for a 3-0 lead. Etty also picked up a win at No. 4 over Nathan Connelly, 6-0, 6-3 for the win.
VSU continues at home on Saturday at 9 a.m. versus Georgia Gwinnett and will face Shorter on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Gulf South Conference opener.
