GAINESVILLE, Ga. – The Valdosta State men's golf team fired a pair of 292 rounds and sit tied for 11
th at the University of North Georgia Fall Invitational Monday with a 36-hole score of 584. The 16-team field concludes the 54-hole tournament tomorrow with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
Lincoln Memorial leads the field with a 16-under 560 and leads the field by four strokes over South Carolina Aiken, while Piedmont College sits one stroke behind USCA at 565. Gulf South Conference foe Lee is fourth at 569, while Limestone College rounds out the top five with a 571 score.
LMU's Dan Bradberry and Georgia Southwestern's Chase McLain tied the tournament record for an 18-hole round with an 8-under 64 as Bradberry opened the tournament with a 64 and McLain fired the 64 in the second round.
Bradbury, Piedmont's Matthew Leeman and Limestone's Austin Alexander each are 9-under heading into the final round to lead the field. USCA's Bjorn Rosengren is fourth at 8-under, while McLain and West Georgia's Blake Kollin are tied for fifth at 7-under on the par 72, 7,043-yard Chattahoochee Golf Club course.

rd with a 146 score on a pair of 73s, while freshman
Ryan Pollman is tied for 72
nd with a 151 on rounds of 76 and 75. Senior
AJ Ouimet is tied for 79
th with a 152 score on rounds of 73 and 79.
Host North Georgia is sixth with a 573 score, followed by Delta State (575), Newberry (576), Columbus State (578) and West Georgia is tenth at 579. Following the Blazers and Flagler, Clayton State is 13
th at 587, while there is a tie for 14
th between Lander and Shorter at 589 and the North Georgia "B" team is 16
th at 590.
VSU finished the day tied for third on par 3 scoring at 3.08, while the Blazers were 12-over in par 4 scoring and 4-over in par five scoring. VSU had 112 pars for the two rounds and 27 birdies. D. Smith eagled the par 5, No. 8 hole for the first eagle of the season for VSU in the second round. His eagle was one of nine for the day for the field. Hanson had a team-high 27 pars for the day.
In the opening round, the Blazers carded a 292 and sat tenth. Four of the five Blazers shot a 73 for the first round and were tied for 33
rd through the first round. The Blazers shot 2-under on par 3's for the first round and were even par on par 5's. VSU tallied 65 pars for the round, along with 15 birdies.
Lincoln Memorial led the field through the first round with an 8-under 280, while Lee was second at 7-under 281. Piedmont College was third at 5-under 283. South Carolina Aiken and Limestone were tied for fourth at even par 288, while North Georgia and Delta State each carded a 289. West Georgia sat eighth at 290, followed by Newberry (291) and VSU rounded out the top ten.
Bradbury carded a blistering 8-under 64 to lead the field, while there was a three-way tie for second through the first round between Leeman, Alexander and Georgia Southwestern's Saksit Jairak who was playing as an individual at 5-under 67. A total of 21 golfers shot under par for the round.
