VALDOSTA, Ga. – Valdosta State women's soccer senior forward Kira Malpica joined the Blazer Spotlight Podcast with Assistant Athletic Director for Development Matt Malone and VSU Assistant Professor of Digital Production, Dr. Colin Walker.

This is the second year of the Blazer Spotlight Podcast with Malone and Walker hosting.  Last year, the duo was honored by winning the Best of Competition 2020 Broadcast Education Association Faculty Sports Radio competition for the episode featuring VSU head women's soccer coach Stephen Andrew.
 
Malpica, a native of Boca Raton, Fla., has played in 37 matches for the Blazers on the pitch.  She has two assists for her career and fired eight shots with two on frame.  She has helped lead VSU to three straight trips to the Gulf South Conference Tournament and ten or more wins each of her seasons in Titletown.  She was named to the GSC Academic Honor Roll in 2019.
