COLUMBUS, Ga. – The No. 8 Valdosta State men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at top-ranked Columbus State Sunday. With the loss, VSU fell to 0-2 on the year, while Columbus State improved to 3-0.

Axel Holm dropped a 6-3 decision at No. 3 doubles. VSU won just three games in the other two doubles matches.
In singles, the Cougars won five of six, but No. 19 junior
Xavier Pineda won over Arnold Kolulewski at No. 4 in three sets, winning the first set 6-3, falling 7-6 in the second and winning the third 10-6. No. 3 junior
Jordi Mas took No. 1 KP Pannu to three sets as Pannu won 6-1 in the opener at No. 1, followed by a 6-1 win by Mas in the second set. Pannu won the third 6-0.
