Jefferson, a native of Sanderson, Florida, was a key component in the Blazers 53-7 win over Savannah State last Saturday. Jefferson combined for four solo tackles, two assisted tackles and recovered two fumbles for scores in the second quarter in a matter of 1:25 minutes of game time pushing the Blazer lead to 27-0.  For his efforts, Jefferson was named Gulf South Conference Defensive Player of the Week – the first conference weekly honor of his career.
