VALDOSTA, Ga. - All of the hard work put in by the Valdosta State football team over the course of the past several weeks has led up to the annual Blanton Commons Spring Game, set to take place on Saturday, April 8th, at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium.

The intersquad showdown, which will be split by way of a coaches draft, is slated for a 2:00 p.m. start at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium and will allow the current members of the 2017 roster to show off their skills under the leadership of Head Coach Kerwin Bell.

In conjunction with the red and black showdown, the VSU Alumni Association has teamed up with Blazer football to host a pregame tailgate for all former players, along with their families, in the tailgating lot just outside of the stadium at the corner of Brookwood and Slater Street. The 12:00 p.m. gathering will provide a bounce house for the kids and will allow former Blazers to mingle with current and future student-athletes, in an effort to further strengthen Blazer Nation.

Admission to the game is FREE, and concession stands will be open to sell popcorn, candy, and drinks.
