One of the most dominating defensive players in Valdosta State football history, Antonio was twice named the Gulf South Conference’s Defensive Player of the Year, one of only four players in the history of the conference to repeat in that honor. He is just one of five Valdosta State players to be named the GSC’s top defensive player and also earned All-America honors in 1998 after recording 103 tackles, including 21.0 tackles for loss, on the year. Antonio tallied 24 tackles in nine games as a freshman before registering 83 as a sophomore and 77 as a senior and finished his career with 287 career tackles, the seventh-highest total in school history. He also ranks in the top 10 in VSU history in tackles for loss and sacks.
