Carter: So far, this season has been a roller coaster ride. As a team we have not been able to find our groove. From the first match to the match against West Florida, each team member has improved significantly and I feel as if we are a solid team. We just need to put the pieces together. We have already played 18 matches and have just as many left, so there is still room for improvement and many more wins.
Logan: I think we are playing very well as a team this year! We have our rough spots, as does every athletic team, but we are competing well with the occasional upsetting game. Our team is also very young and are coping well with the unfortunate injuries that have occurred. We all have a certain role on the team and when we all play our role, we can be a really good team that can compete with anyone.

Carter: This weekend’s tournament will be tough, but as a team we know we always have to be ready to play. It is always good to play a team that you don’t get to play very often. It is a less stressful environment when you know it is not a conference match. Plus it is good practice. This weekend our team is going to need to play from our hearts and believe from within that no matter what our record is, we are a good team and we can win!
Logan: I’m very excited about this weekend! It will give the volleyball program a chance to show our fans what the Lady Blazers are all about. It’s important to our season because it gives us a break from conference play and allows us to improve our record. We also get a chance to work out our kinks so we’ll be more than ready when we return to conference play.
