Tomorrow we are leaving for the NCAA Division II Regional tournament, and I couldn’t be more excited. Last year, being only a freshman, I was more nervous, but because this is my sophmore year and second time going, I feel more anxious to go out there and do the best that we can and hopefully make it to the elite eight. I also want to try and finish this year off with a bang for our seven seniors, because we are a very close team and I would want nothing more than to help them finish their careers with a regional and national championship. Because of this, I cannot wait to get on the plane tomorrow and head out to Cleveland, Mississippi…Bring it on!

Lady Blazers are in the “Sweet 16.” The Lady Blazers were seeded #6 heading into the NCAA South Regional. Facing Tampa, the #3 seed in the Regional, the Lady Blazers proved they belonged by dominating almost every phase of the game. Next up was Arkansas Tech, the #2 seed. VSU was ready for Arkansas Tech, leading early and never relinquishing the lead. Next up is Delta State, #1 seed and ranked #1 in the nation. Let the battle begin!
