Tryout Packet

MOC Release Form (Under 18)

Thank you so much for your interest in Valdosta State University Cheerleading. In considering VSU, you have chosen a program that is well known for its achievements on the fields and courts of the VSU athletic teams, in addition to competing on the floors at the Collegiate National Championships. Some of the many roles that come with being apart of the VSU Spirit Program is to support our athletic teams of VSU, being a positive role model, encourage crowd participation, communicate and socialize with alumni and fans, and to draw in positive attention to the University. In order to tryout, all participants must fill out the tryout packet along with the checklist provided in the packet.  For those under 18, the MOC packet also will need to be filled out.  There is also a $50 tryout fee that can be paid with cash, money order or checks made out to the VSU Cheerleading Foundation. All paperwork and fees must be mailed no later than April 5th or brought in by hand. All walk ins are welcome! *If you cannot attend, video tryouts will also be accepted. Please email coach Cody Hudson at cheerleading@valdosta.edu for further information.

VSU cheerleaders are part of the exciting and competitive Athletic Department at Valdosta State. VSU cheerleaders not only provide sideline support at Blazer Football and Basketball home games, but they also compete in NCA's Collegiate National Championship held annually in Daytona Beach, Florida. In addition, both squads participate in a variety of activities and community service programs designed to promote student spirit and participation both on campus and throughout the community.
