Why Sponsorship?

Sponsorship is a terrific way to promote a business, a product, or a service. Sponsorship offers product and/or service exposure to VSU students as well to the residents of South Georgia and North Florida who attend Blazer Athletic events. Sponsorship can change attitudes, shape image, and provide awareness of your product of service.

Unlike many of the programs we compete against, Valdosta State University receives no state funding for its athletic program. Valdosta State University depends on Student Fees, Gifts, Ticket Sales and Corporate Sponsorship to fund the Athletic Department’s budget. 

During the past year, there has been a major change in the Corporate Sponsorship and Corporate Club programs at Valdosta State University.  We have developed sponsorship packages to fit the budgets of the large corporate sponsor as well as the small business owner. The Valdosta State University athletic program is committed to providing a multi-level marketing effort designed to give maximum exposure to our corporate sponsorship team.

What does sponsorship include?

Depending on the sponsorship package, it may include signage, print and electronic media, television, radio, reserve seat ticketing for Blazer football and basketball, and venue parking. Sponsorship levels are as follows:

• “Blazing the Trail” Sponsorship Package: The premier sponsorship package at Valdosta State University.
• “Platinum Blazer” Sponsorship Package: Includes venue signage (including scrolling scorer’s table), radio, television, print and electronic media advertising, web site logo placement, and reserved seat ticket for VSU football and basketball. Cost is $10,000.00 per year.
• “Gold Blazer” Sponsorship Package:  Includes venue signage (including scrolling scorer’s table), print and electronic media advertising, web site logo placement, and reserved seat tickets for VSU football and basketball. Cost is $7,500.00 per year.
• “Silver Blazer” Sponsorship Package: Includes venue banner signage for football, basketball, and softball, print and electronic media advertising, listing on the web site, and reserved seat tickets for VSU football and basketball. Cost is $5,000.00 per year.
• “Bronze Blazer” Sponsorship Package:  Includes venue banner signage for football and basketball, print advertising, listing on the web site, and reserved seat tickets for VSU football and basketball. Cost is $2,500.00 per year.
• “Red Blazer” Sponsorship Package: Includes banner signage for football and basketball, card sized ad in the GameDay program, and two reserved seat tickets for VSU football and basketball. Cost is $1,500.00 per year.

Corporate Club Membership

This past spring, the Corporate Club underwent its first major change since the early 1990s. Currently there are three levels of Corporate Club Membership:

• Corporate Club 1500: Includes card-sized ad in the football and basketball GameDay programs, eight reserved seat football tickets, four reserved seat basketball tickets, eight volleyball, softball, and baseball season passes, and parking passes (2) for football and basketball.
• Corporate Club 1000: Includes listing in the GameDay program for football and basketball, four reserved seat season football tickets, four reserved seat basketball tickets, four volleyball, softball, and baseball season passes, and parking passes (2) for football and basketball.
• Corporate Club 500: Includes listing in the GameDay program for football and basketball, two reserved seat season football tickets, two reserved seat basketball tickets, two volleyball, softball, and baseball season passes, and one parking pass for football and basketball.
