Hannan Named Player of the Week

Hannan's 45 digs earns her Player of the Week Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Valdosta State's Irene Hannan was named one of the Gulf South Conference's Players of the Week for her performance against Lynn, Rollins and Harding this past weekend.

Hannan racked up 45 digs in the three matches for an average of 3.46 per game. She also notched one solo block on her way to four blocks for the week. On the offensive side, Hannan scored two aces and 45 kills.

She has already started her campaign for next week's award with an outstanding 23 kill, 21 dig performance against West Georgia Tuesday night.

Hannan will look to lead the Lady Blazers against North Alabama at 6 p.m. Friday at Alabama-Huntsville at 2 p.m. Saturday.
