Saints March Past VSU

Lady Blazers Fall to Flagler, 3-0

VALDOSTA, Ga. - Valdosta State fell to 10-5 on the season after a loss to Flagler Tuesday night. The Saints swept the Lady Blazers, 25-23, 25-18, 28-26.

Katie Onushko and Irene Hannan combined for 22 kills, 11 each, on the night. Hannan added 17 digs to lead VSU. Ruthie King and Arielle Parnell each contributed seven kills.

Emelia Saulter passed out 34 assists and was second on the team in digs with 11. Tania Tauiliili had two solo blocks in addition to a block assist to help Valdosta State out block Flagler, 5-4.

Katie Beale had 12 kills for the Saints with 10 digs. Olivia Snipes finished with 18 digs and 24 assists to lead the team in both categories.

The Lady Blazers will resume Gulf South action Friday at 8 p.m. at West Florida.
